Providing feeding & speech therapy services to infants & children

I’m a qualified Speech and Language Therapist and have been practicing since 2001 when I graduated from De Montfort University in Leicester, UK with a Bsc Hons. Since qualifying I have gained further qualifications in Paediatric Dysphagia (eating and drinking difficulties) and I now specialise in this area. In 2019 I qualified as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

I have a particular interest and highly specialist skills in working with all babies and pre school children with feeding difficulties. Particular areas of interest for me are swallowing difficulties, respiratory feeding issues, feeding difficulties associated with reflux or food allergy and medical conditions.

I work in close liaison with medical and therapy colleagues in a multidisciplinary way in order to provide the best outcomes for the children in support. The Feed Eat Speak speech and lanuguage therapy team will work in liaison with educational settings and professionals.

In addition to my qualifications and above I have made DVD/TV appearances, contributed to book chapters, presented at conferences in the UK and have had posters accepted for international conferences and work published in medical journals. I was also nominated for speech and language therapist of the year.
